Carlos Rodríguez de Robles

Carlos holds a Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master in Business Administration from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

He started his career in HAMBROS BANK LIMITED London, UK in 1995 as an analyst. In 1996 he joined CEMEX S.A. in Madrid in the finance area and in 2000 moved to CEMEX, S.A., El Cairo. In 2001 he joined MCKINSEY & COMPANY Madrid, as a Consultant. In 2004 he was appointed Head of Business Development and Control for the GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS Division at Grupo Santander. In 2009 he moved to Banco Santander México as Deputy General Manager – Global Wholesale Banking. In 2013 he returned to Banco Santander Spain, as Head of Global Transaction Banking. Andrés Campos

Andrés Campos is an Industrial Engineer by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the USA.

Andrés Campos has an experience of over 20 years in Investment Banking. Before joining the Santander Group, he worked at Arthur Andersen in the offices of Madrid. He is currently CFO of CACEIS Bank Spain SAU. Prior to this position, as Manageing Director within Banco Santander’s Corporate Finance team, he has been responsible for numerous transactions of M&A, equities, capital markets, structured financing, acquisition finance and, in general, financing transactions for customers in countries where the Bank operates. Rafael García

IT Global Head & Chief Transformation Officer

Rafael Garcia holds a Computer Engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas Venezuela, an Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid Spain.   Prior to his current role and still within Santander, Rafael Garcia has led:
  • Santander Global Banking & Markets Post-Trade services Business Architecture transformation
  • The Bank’s Markets Flow Business Architecture transformation
  • The mergers of different Santander Group Banks in Latam and USA infraestructure
  • led the IT&OPS Custody implementation in Latam (9 Countries) and Iberia
Furthermore, Rafael Garcia was Santander Investment CIO and has participated in the definition and design of the T2S infrastructure as member of several technical groups organized by both the European Central Bank and Bank of Spain. Outside of Santander, Rafael Garcia worked for IBM’s German Competence and briefing Center with global responsibilities in software for financial institutions and IBM Latam’s International Industry Center for Finance (IICF).

Elena Mesonero

Elena Mesonero holds a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from Deusto University. Master’s in Financial Markets from UAM and Master’s Program in “Women in Boards of Directors” provided by IESE.

Her career began with Deutsche Bank Spain as head of operations, and then moved to Deutsche Bank Frankfurt and taking the responsibility for Spanish institutional clients investing in Germany. In 2001, she joined BNP Paribas Securities Services Spain as Head of Institutional Clients in order to develop and grow the bank in Spain. At the end of 2014, she became part of the Santander Group to support the launch of CACEIS Bank Spain SAU Spain, as Head of Clients and Product Development, and a member of the Executive Committee, also assuming the responsibility of the global clients team for the various CACEIS Bank Spain SAU entities in LatAm.

She has more than 20 years of experience leading teams, focusing on market analysis and development, taking on responsibilities in defining the strategy and results of the company.

Juan José Valle

Business Administration and Management Degree at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). Executive Development and Management Program (PDEM) at Instituto de Empresa (IE) and Financial Markets Specialization Program at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB).

In 1999, his career starts in BANCO ATLANTICO. In 2000, he joined ACCENTURE as a consultant in the capital markets area. He holds various responsibilities, including having been responsible for Private Banking and Asset Management for Spain. In 2012, he became part of BANCO SANTANDER as head of Organization and Costs for Global Banking & Markets. In 2015, joined CACEIS Bank Spain SAU as Global Head of Organization and Human Resources. Javier Muñoz-Grandes

Degree in business administration and management from the Centro Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF), specialists in economic development and international aid from the Instituto Complutense de Estudios Internacionales (ICEI).

Extensive experience in the financial sector since 2000, when he starts his career at Santander Group as an internal auditor specializing in financial management and treasury. In 2004, he was appointed executive advisor to the Group’s chairman (Emilio Botín), promoting business development and Co-Coordinating his interaction with global divisions. In 2011, he was appointed head of risk governance and strategy at Santander UK in London, where he drew up a new risk management and control framework, which is a benchmark for the Group. In 2014, he returned to the corporation as head of “Enterprise Wide Risk Management” (EWRM), developing risk appetite management, risk reporting to senior management, risk identification and assessment, risk stress and strategic risk. Juan A. Ballesteros

Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. In Banco Santander he has completed the Executive Development Program provided by IE Business School.

He started his career in 1998 in Arthur Andersen in the Financial Services area, carrying out various audits and business consultancy projects. In 2002, he joined KPMG Consulting as a senior consultant and subsequently moved to Ernst & Young as the supervisor of the Advisory Services line.

At the end of 2004 he joined Banco Santander’s Internal Audit Division, in the Financial Risks Area, where he played different roles until, in 2015, he was given the opportunity to be the Global Head of Internal Audit in this major project, which is the S3 Group.

Fernanda Andujar

In November 2014 joined CACEIS Bank Spain SAU at the Global Sales & Relationship Management Department being responsible for Global Sales & RM. In July 2019 she has been appointed Global Head of People and Talent.

Joaquín Alfaro

Joaquin is a Senior Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MBA from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Joaquin began his career at Indra in 1993 as an engineer. He joined Santander in 1994 and has extensive experience in the financial investment and banking sector.
Prior to his current position, he held several senior management positions in the areas of Transaction Banking, Derivatives, Equities, Corporate Finance, Strategic Planning, Operations and IT in Madrid and New York, including heading the global securities business before the constitution of S3.
Since 2016, he is country head and CEO of SC Brazil.

Sandra Pulido

She started her experience in the financial sector in Asesores en Valores S.A. in 1992 as an analyst, escalating positions to become Head of Operations, and in 1996 he moved to Fiduciaria del Pacífico S.A. as Head of Operations. In 1998, she joined the Santander Group in Santander Investment Valores Colombia S.A. in the operations area. In 2002, she transferred to Santander Investment Trust S.A. as Head of Operations, a position which she held until 2012, when the sale of Santander Group companies in Colombia to was completed. She continued in Corpbanca Investment Trust S.A. as Head of Operations until 2015. In 2015, she joined the Central Counterparty Risk Chamber, as Risk and Transaction Administrator.
